Ligne à voie ferrée métrique le Blanc-Argent (ou B.A.) sur le tronçon Luçay-le-Malé-Argy (également sur communes de Argy, Ecueillé, Heugnes, Pellevoisin), located in Luçay-le-Mâle (Indre), is a modern edifice built in the 19th-20th centuries. The monument is currently closed to visitors.
The Blanc-Argent is the last surviving example of the great rural metric railway lines on the plains of France, crossing the Brenne and Sologne regions with its stations that have retained their "Berrichon" charm intact since 1902.

Winding its way through the gentle plains of the Indre, between the ponds of the Brenne and the forests of the Sologne, the metre-gauge Blanc-Argent line - affectionately known as "the BA" - is much more than a railway relic: it's a journey back in time to the industrial and rural France of the early 20th century. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1993, this line is now the only active representative, outside mountainous areas, of the former secondary one-metre gauge networks that once criss-crossed the French countryside. What distinguishes the BA from all the other lines that have disappeared is its stubborn survival. While hundreds of secondary lines were closing their doors in the 1930s under the pressure of cars and lorries, the Blanc-Argent continued to link isolated villages, carrying passengers and goods at its leisurely pace. Its operation by a private company enabled it to escape the standardisation imposed by the SNCF, preserving its remarkably authentic rolling stock and infrastructure. On the section between Luçay-le-Mâle and Argy, which also passes through the communes of Écueillé, Heugnes and Pellevoisin, the small stations built of red brick and tufa stone display the so-called "Berrichon" style: sober, functional and rooted in local building traditions. Each station resembles a lively sepia postcard, with its low platforms, light shelters and station-master's gardens, some of which are still tended. Travelling on the BA means accepting slowness as a luxury. The carriages bounce gently between hedgerows, horse meadows and the shimmering waters of the Brenne. For the photographer, the industrial heritage enthusiast or simply the curious in search of an authentic France, this journey represents an extraordinary sensory and historical experience that the major TGV lines can never offer.
The architecture of the buildings on the Luçay-le-Mâle-Argy section is in keeping with the functionalist vocabulary typical of rural secondary networks at the turn of the 20th century, while at the same time displaying a strong regional identity. This is what is known as the "Berrichon" style, as distinct from the "Solognot" style found on the Argent-Gièvres section further north: the stations and halts play on the sobriety of local brick, often combined with the white tufa typical of construction in Berry, with ashlar window surrounds and low-pitched roofs covered in flat red tiles or zinc. The passenger buildings have a standard national layout - a central body housing a waiting room and the stationmaster's office, flanked by a staff accommodation on the upper floor - but their local implementation sets them apart. The proportions are modest, and the façades are devoid of superfluous ornamentation, giving them a discreet, authentic elegance. The light wood and metal canopies, where they still exist, bear witness to the care taken to ensure passenger comfort despite the economy of means imposed on secondary lines. The track infrastructure itself - culverts, small engineering structures, level crossings and ballast tanks - is a heritage feature in its own right. The metric gauge means that the structures have to be small, giving the whole an almost miniature character that contributes to the special charm of this exceptional railway heritage.
