In the heart of the Gâtinais region, in the discreet village of Montbouy, the church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Blaise stands like a stone document overlooking several centuries of sacred architecture. The materials used are those of the Gâtinais region: a light local limestone, with golden to beige tones depending on exposure, which ages gracefully and provides an ideal support for architectural sculpture. All the rendering and joints reflect successive phases of restoration, while the flat-tiled roof is in keeping with the building tradition of rural Loiret.
