Nestling in the gentle landscape of the Cher valley at Mareuil-sur-Cher, the ancient château is one of those intimate monuments that reveal their richness to those who know how to look at them. Far from the grandiloquence of the Touraine fortresses, it embodies the discreet provincial nobility that has survived the centuries without trying to impose, preserving in its walls decorations of remarkable finesse.
